Reindeer Food

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped support the Cystic Fibrosis Trust by buying the reindeer food all lovingly crafted by myself, husband and daughter. We managed to raise £88.05 which is fantastic!

THANK YOU

Music for Minors Expanding!

I will be opening some new classes in Huddersfield in 2007 starting with some taster sessions at the end of this year. You may see someone come to watch or even participate in some sessions as part of training. If all goes well she will continue to run classes in the Huddersfield area.

New classes are also opening in Oulton after Easter on Mondays so if you have any friends who live Pontefract, Castleford, Stanley, Outwood and nearby areas please let them know.

I am still looking for more people to run classes in other areas of Wakefield and Kirklees as self-contractors. You don’t have to be a fantastic singer (just able to sing in tune) some musical knowledge is an advantage but not necessary, but enthusiasm, energy and some experience of being amongst young children is most important! Full training will be given. If you think you would like to run a class or know anyone who may be interested please come and have a chat.

African Drumming

Matthew Delayney who works for the Kirklees music school, has very kindly offered his services to show us an introduction to African Drumming. The workshop will be held on the 24th of February 10.00am – 12.00 at Walton Village Hall and anyone is welcome. There will be a fee of £2 per adult and children can come along for free and play either drums or other multicultural percussion instruments. The workshop will be relaxed and fun but informative so come along and give it a try – no musical experience necessary! If the workshop is a success it would be very nice to repeat it!

Refreshments will be available donations to cost fully appreciated!

Active Tots squeaky shoes will also be on sale!
